Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the becool app, developed by Aleph Retamal (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
1. Apple’s license agreement
Your use of becool is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms supplement that agreement.
2. Subscriptions, free trial and cancellation
- becool offers weekly, monthly and annual subscriptions. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Plans include a 7-day free trial, when the trial is available for your account. When the trial ends, the subscription starts being charged unless you cancel before then.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- To cancel, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone at least 24 hours before the end of the period to avoid renewal.
- If you subscribe during the free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
3. Content and ownership
The texts, facts, quizzes, illustrations and other content in becool belong to Aleph Retamal and are protected by copyright. Sources for each fact are cited in the app, and the cited works belong to their respective authors.
4. Personal use
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use becool for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute or commercially use the app’s content without our written permission.
5. Limitation of liability
becool’s content is educational. Although we take care with our sources, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and is not a substitute for professional advice. The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or its content. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The latest version will always be on this page, with an updated effective date. By continuing to use the app after a change, you accept the new version.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
